Job Title: Duty Manager

Salary: £11 per hour

Reporting to: General Manager

Contract: Full Time, 42 Hours, Temporary Fixed Term to be reviewed after 2 months (Some non-standard working hours will be required)

Probation: 1 month

Holiday: 28 days. NB public holidays are viewed as normal working days.

The Art School (GSASA Ltd.) is a student and artist led venue in Glasgow. We are the trading subsidiary of the Glasgow School of Art’s Students’ Association (GSASA), a registered charity that operates as a representative body for students at The Glasgow School of Art (GSA), advocating for their interests and welfare.

We are currently recruiting for a Duty Manager .

The right candidate must be outgoing and enthusiastic. Reporting to the GM, you’ll lead the FOH and bar staff, in the cafe, the bar and the gig and club venue.

This is not just a delegation role - getting your own hands dirty and leading by example is a must - so a passion and enthusiasm for hospitality is key. Most importantly, the right candidate should possess knock out customer service skills and the ability to build rapport with customers and hold team morale together under pressure.

You’ll need to be fully flexible as we operate as a cafe, bar and late night venue.

The Art School (GSASA Ltd.) is a student and artist led venue in Glasgow. We are currently recruiting for a Chef to assist in the preparation of food for a busy cafe bar in the student union. There will also be occasional provision of external catering.
