Celebrating their 10th album and a quarter century of work together, Ed Handley and Andy Turner return to Glasgow with a groundbreaking new live A/V set, featuring reworked material from their latest album Reachy Prints and much more besides.

For this show, they will be accompanied by special guest instrumentalist Benet Walsh, and incorporate cutting-edge equipment such as Bruno Zamborlin's intriguing Mogees physical sensor devices and Keith McMillen Instruments' QuNexus and QuNeo control interfaces.

As founding members of The Black Dog, Ed and Andy are responsible for some of the most enduring and influential works in their genre – showcased largely on the trio of albums 'Bytes', 'Temple of Transparent Balls' and 'Spanners', as well as a handful of classic EPs on Black Dog Productions and Rising High.

Plaid have been a firm staple on the Warp Records roster since the release of 'Not for Threes' in 1997, an album featuring the vocal talents of Björk, Mara Carlyle and Nicolette which helped cement their unique brand of emotive, harmonically complex and meticulously programmed electronic dance music.

In the interim, they have released a series of albums and EPs, a slew of remixes for acts from Deee-Lite to Goldfrapp, collaborated with diverse partners such as the Southbank Gamelan Players, Felix Thorn (Felix's Machines) and Evan Boehm / Nexus Interactive Arts, provided two soundtracks to feature length films by Michael Arias (Tekkon Kinkreet and Heaven's Door) and engaged in many other audiovisual and design experiments.

Nonima is one of several aliases for prolific electronic producer Tam Ferrans (also recording as Mitoma and Altered:Carbon).

Tam curates the highly respected Section Twentyseven netlabel, releasing otherworldly and intricately detailed music by numerous artists worldwide, as well as churning out a stream of solid original works and mixes, such as the recent remix of Stormfield's 'Collapsing System', described as "a fierce technical workout of a track, reminiscent of some of Surgeon’s earlier works”.

Strongly supported by the likes of Darkfloor Sound, Combat Recordings, Digital::Nimbus Radio and Up Digital, he also holds a resident radio slot for Section Twentyseven on Mixlr.
