One More Tune

Ralph Thomson, half of resident DJ team Define Define celebrates his birthday party on the night meaning a few extra party bangers might get whipped out right at the end, Thomson is known for gluing furious German techno with Detroit inspired and African derived 808 beats and deep basslines, meaning simply-hold on to yer hats…

Flying up from London, One More Tune brings an annual favourite back to show the Arty how the true urbanites party. Tim Hilton aka one half of Deadhead Djs (and formerly known as Yo China) rocks the decks with uptempo Electro and sick Fidgety beats, plenty of Southern ghettoooooo discomfort for your converse wearing feet. Rachel and Eilidh combined make the grand old age of 43 so get yourself prepared for a big night with their choice DJ playing for them.

Jondon aka Glasgow’s other nicest Breaks selecta heats the floor up with huge meaty basslines and clear, hypnotic hi hats brought together like the best ever steak and mustard sandwich. Surely the best broken beat magician since Houdini died letting a chum rupture his appendix, Jondon never lets a party down, as his set from last year’s Symbiosis testifies, can he improve on that?

Matthew One More Tune & Ralph team up as ever to punctuate the night with
all the other things that never got heard: tribal techno, eejit Indie, dark Disco, Loft party House, future Funk, robot vocoders and Sine waves coming together in one dark student den til three am on one April night.

Patchwork (13th Note) plays some silly films in the background. Drinks are studently priced, get merry for only a few gold coins. Entry is kept to £2 for all before half past eleven (all night for those with exams coming up) and a fiver later.
